Sonny & Cher Halloween 2010

Last year, Mona and I did our inaugural Halloween vlog as Alice Cooper and, uh, well, we’re still trying to figure out the other character, but you get the idea. Anyway, coming up with an idea last year was much easier. This year, we batted around tons of ideas, but while I could come up with plenty of solo ideas it was harder to do them as a couple (and, yes, Mona shot down my second annual request to go as Frankenberry). So Mona put the question to Facebook nation and they, uh, well, I’m still trying to figure this out, suggested Sonny and Cher.Let’s just say I wasn’t a fan back in the day and leave it at that, but for Mona I’ll do anything. She was excited about the idea and even convinced me to let her straighten my hair. By the time I got the fake mustache on (from some pop-up Halloween store we found still open at 5 today), I looked a little like a cross between the middle-aged Justin Bieber and Sam Elliott playing Thunderbolt Ross in the Hulk. And then Mona, good sport that she is, indulged my penchant for overdoing it on the Milton from “Office Space” and Hank Hill imitations. Hope you enjoy watching it as much as we had fun doing it. Happy Halloween, everybody!
