We had just finished playing a virtual scavenger hunt in the air against another jet full of reporters and other passengers, found out we had won laptop computers for our efforts and a Fox news reporter led some of us in live-TV cheers like trained monkeys. So it was a pretty festive atmosphere when one woman stalked up the aisle demanding to talk to someone in charge.

If Rep. Dana Rohrabacher were president here’s how he’d handle the situation in Iran: Talk tough to Iran’s leaders and covertly help the rebels.
It’s the way President Reagan won the Cold War, he said.
“Basically we’ve got a situation where we have stood back for a long time and if we’d helped the people of Iran we could have eliminated the mullah regime a long time ago,” Rohrabacher said. “Whether it was [Presidents Bush or Obama] we have refrained from actively supporting the opposition groups in Iran and it’s gotten so bad that even without any help from us the people of Iran are now trying to break the chains.”

I’m fairly typical as an editor. I love stories loaded with cute-kid quotes. A close second are stories about animals. I know what you’re thinking. Anderson only likes hard news, politics, crime, etc. OK, it’s true. I mean, I’ve been a political junkie since elementary school, but nothing gets me more excited than some kids-say-the-darndest-things features.
